2025 Spring Challenge – Instrument Replacement
Dear Alumni, Parents, and Supporters of the Myers Park Bands,
We need your help.
For many decades, the Myers Park Bands have given students a place to belong socially, achieve musically, and grow personally. The MP Bands have thrived in part because of the incredible support we get from our families and the community. When we need something, you have stepped up.
Our current need is to replace many aging instruments in our inventory. Some students play instruments that have been at MP since the early 80’s! Other instruments aren’t quite as old but make up for it in “mileage” and still need to be replaced. Our annual budget, supported by fees and fundraisers, allows us to replace maybe 1-2 instruments in a year – our need now is to replace at least 14 instruments to ensure the continued success of our concert and marching bands.
We ask you therefore to support the Mustang Bands’ Spring Challenge. The goal of our challenge is $30,000 to invest in these priority instrument replacements:
2 Bass clarinets
1 Tenor sax
1 Oboe
2 Euphonium
2 French horn
3 Marching snares
3 Marching bass drums (18″, 20″, 26″)
If your donation is received by May 23, we will thank you in our spring concert program on May 29.

There are two ways to donate.
1. Write a check to Myers Park Bands for your donation amount and deliver the check to the treasurer through Mr Blount or by mail to: P.O. Box 11891 Charlotte, NC 28220
If you wish to designate your gift to a certain section, please write: woodwinds, brass, or percussion in the memo field on your check.
2. Click the link below to make your donation online. Donations can be made in increments of $25. If you wish to designate your gift to a certain section, please include that information in the designation field above the shopping cart.
2025 Spring Challenge Donation
The goal of our Spring Challenge is $30,000.
Here is the good news: ONE generous donor has already offered to fund HALF of this campaign (that’s right: $15,000), and that donor hereby challenges the rest of Mustang Band Nation to collectively match their gift.

Banquet meals will be provided by Moe’s Southwest Grill and can be purchased in the band store. Deadline for orders is 5/24 (we are unable to take orders at the door).
